# CS Remote guide

Below is the help text from the app, it is also the steps followed in the video above.
Use the following steps to start working with **cs_remote**
## 1. Launch the apps
* Open **ColourSpace**
* Open **cs_remote**
* place the windows so you can see them together.
> This helps you to compare configurations for network connection and video signal settings.
## 2. ColourSpace Profiling
* Open the **Profiling** window to begin taking measurements.
## 3. Probe Options
* Select the **Probe Options** page:
1. Pick your measurement probe from the list.
2. Tap the **Connect** button.
## 4. Graph Options
* Select the **Graph Options** Page:
1. In the lower right corner, set **Remote Control** to **Servant**.
2. If disabled, connect your measurement probe first.
3. Check the **ID** matches the **cs_remote Port** (default: ` + `20102` + `).
## 5. IP Address Setup
* In **CS_remote**, check the IP address:
* **127.0.0.1**: If both apps are on the same machine.
* **Network IP**: If on different computers, use the ColourSpace computer's IP.
* *Tip:* In ColourSpace **Hardware Options**, select **Network Server** and tap **Connect** to see the IP.
* *Note:* Switch back from Network Server if using a different test patch device.
## 6. Signal Settings
* Select the **Settings** page in ColourSpace to compare video signal settings:
* **Bit-Depth**: Must match (e.g., 10-bit).
* **Range**: Must match (e.g., Legal).
## Patch Generation
You are now ready to send patches. Select the **Patch Set**:
* **LUT Cubes**: Node sizes 3-33 (odd), Sequential or Anisometric.
* **Gamut Rings**: Measure the gamut perimeter.
* **Ramp**: Min to Max in selectable steps and colours.
* **Mastering**: Post Production HDR Mastering (75 patches).
> **Note:** Always check patches are displayed to the output before profiling.
> Tap start to begin sending patches you selected.
## Controls:
* **Play**: Start sending patches.
* **Stop**: Stop sending patches.
