Use the following steps to start working with **cs_remote** # CS Remote Guide ## 1. Launch the apps - Open **ColourSpace** - Open **CS Remote** - Place the windows so you can see them together. > This helps you to compare network and video signal settings. --- ## 2. ColourSpace Profiling - Open the **Profiling** window to begin taking measurements. --- ## 3. Probe Options Select the **Probe Options** page: 1. Pick your measurement probe from the list. 2. Tap the **Connect** button. --- ## 4. Graph Options Select the **Graph Options** page: 1. In the lower right corner, set **Remote Control** to **Servant**. 2. If disabled, connect your measurement probe first. 3. Check the **ID** matches the **CS Remote Port** (default: `20102`). --- ## 5. IP Address In **CS Remote**, check the IP address: - **127.0.0.1** — If both apps are on the same machine. - **Network IP** — If on different machines, use the ColourSpace machine's IP address. - _Tip:_ In ColourSpace **Hardware Options**, select **Network Server** and tap **Connect** to see the local IP. - _Note:_ Switch back from Network Server if using a different patch source. --- ## 6. Signal Settings Select the **Settings** page in ColourSpace and match these to CS Remote: - **Bit Depth** — Must match (e.g., 10-bit). - **Video Range** — Must match (e.g., Legal). --- ## Patch Sets Select a **Patch Set** and configure its options before tapping Play: - **Cube** — 3D LUT cube, odd node sizes from 3 to 33. - **Gamut Rings** — Measures the gamut boundary. - **Ramp** — Ramp from minimum to maximum in selectable steps and colours. - **Mastering** — HDR post-production mastering set (75 patches). - **General** — General calibration set for routine profiling (107 patches). Includes a **Gamut** selector: BT.709, P3-D65, or BT.2020. > Cube, Gamut Rings, Ramp, Mastering and General can each be delivered in **Sequential** or **Anisometric** order. - **Probe Match** — RGBW at 75%, 95% and 100% for probe matching (14 patches).
