Why is CS Remote or CS Patch Translator not connecting on macOS?
macOS asks before an app can talk to devices on your local network. The first time CS Remote or CS Patch Translator connects to ColourSpace, you'll see a prompt asking to find and connect to devices on your local network. Click Allow.
If you clicked Don't Allow, or the prompt disappeared before you answered, the connection fails with "no route to host" and auto-discovery finds nothing. To fix it:
1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
2. Turn on cs_remote (or cs_patch_translator).
3. Quit and reopen the app, then connect again.
If the app isn't in the list, or it still won't connect:
- Keep only one copy of the app, ideally in Applications. Delete older copies and empty the Trash, because macOS can apply the permission to the wrong copy.
- Restart your Mac and try again.
